Services

Community Action Hertsmere is a membership organisation providing CVS services to local community-voluntary groups. In addition to regular mailouts of useful information and occasional networking meetings, Community Action Hertsmere provides:

• Small Group Development - practical help for start-up and low-income groups on issues such as governance, management and fundraising
• Volunteer Centre – help finding, recruiting and managing the volunteers needed by local groups

Community Action Hertsmere also provides Community Development:

• Community Shop – a neighbourhood-based signposting and service delivery centre in the Cowley Hill area of Borehamwood
• Take Part- promoting public interest and involvement in the local community, the democratic process and the provision of public services
• Volunteer Centre – promoting the value of volunteering to the local community and introducing local volunteers to suitable volunteering opportunities

Community Action Hertsmere is a registered charity (1127066) and a company limited by guarantee (67179689). Membership is open to both local groups and individuals with an interest in Hertsmere’s communities. Community Action Hertsmere was formed on 1st April 2009 from a merger of Hertsmere CVS and Hertsmere Community Partnership .
